THE DEAD MAN'S HAND

Aces & Eights is also known as the "Dead Man's Hand". While the make up of poker's "Dead Man's Hand" has varied throughout the years, it has traditionally been described as a two-pair poker hand, consisting of a red and black ace and two black eights.

WILD BILL HICKOCK

The pair of aces and eights, along with the queen of hearts, were reportedly held by Old West folk hero, lawman and gunfighter Wild Bill Hickock, when he was murdered while playing a game.

If you look closely at the Aces & Eights logo, you will see that the cards contain a blood splatter and a bootmark, in honor of Wild Bill Hickock.
